From challen at illinois.edu Fri Dec 5 10:33:42 2025 From: challen at illinois.edu (Challen, Geoffrey Werner) Date: Fri, 5 Dec 2025 16:33:42 +0000 Subject: [Technology and Society] Final Meeting Today: 2PM, Siebel 1214 Message-ID: Dear Students: Today is the our final meeting of the Fall 2025 semester! We'll meet inside (!) at 2PM in Siebel 1214 to discuss how the semester went and share any closing thoughts. (Size permitting we'll probably end up in the second-floor atrium, so please find us there if you arrive late.) CS 199 SOC will not be taught in Spring 2026. But that's because I'm prototyping a new course on using and understanding AI: https://www.usingandunderstanding.ai/. Feel free to apply to enroll, particularly if you're in a non-computational major. And please distribute to any friends or classmates you think might be interested. I'll print off copies of the syllabus and, if there's time today, I'd appreciate your feedback on the new course content and structure. See you at 2PM.
